The Youth Club continues to meet regularly, mainly in the Memorial Hall, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of most months, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.
The club is open to any youngster of secondary school age living in the parish. We expect a contribution of £1.00 from each member at each session, to help us to cover some costs. Membership is £5.00 per family.
Membership forms must be completed and signed by a parent (or guardian), so that we comply with SYA rules and have contact details in case of any emergency.
Leaders hold CRB clearance, funded by Shropshire Council.
Recent Activities have included:-
• clay faces: thanks to Mike, SYA
• skateboarding session in Baschurch during half term: thanks to Shropshire Council for organising this
• pancakes on Shrove Tuesday: thanks to Les Foster for letting us use the Victoria Rooms kitchen, and for all the washing up!
Thanks to the Shropshire Youth Association (SYA) for their continuing support.
Thanks also to Vonnie for joining us as a Youth Club leader, a most welcome addition.
If any other adults wish to join us, contact one of us for an informal chat. You don’t have to be a parent! Any one over 18, wanting to gain some experience of working with young people (useful for your CV), would be very welcome indeed.
